About me

I trained as a jeweller; so small detail falls naturally to me, an aspect of luthiery and repair I deem essential. Most instruments whether they are guitars, bass guitars, any members of the Mandolin and violin family and Banjos that are mass produced and unfortunately, all too often hand made instruments regardless of price, require varying degrees of setting up after purchase to allow the owner to get the most out of them and more importantly, to have the instrument play in a way which makes the player feel accomplished and good about their abilities.

I  have built guitars and bass guitars since  before 1987, as well as repairing nearly all types of stringed instruments from the guitar to violin family.

Bass has been my instrument for over thirty years and currently with a group called Ain’t Misbehavin since 2008.  Needless to say, my band mates instruments are all in perfect working order.

I’m based in South Co. Wicklow near Woodenbridge and about 5 miles from Arklow and the N11.
